NOVEMBER 2023 RELEASE

Ever since my kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Nydegger, stopped class to point out my excellent pitch, I’ve not stopped singing. I was a shy kid, but singing always made me feel happy and confident. I grew up on a farm in rural Iowa hearing my dad’s barbershop quartet and taking piano lessons from grandma.

Flash forward many years…I now live in Milwaukee, surrounded by incredible musicians and songwriters, including Willy Porter, with whom I co-wrote the 2016 Porter/Nickerson album, Bonfire to Ash. I’m now releasing my solo debut album, Room to Grow, which is a collection of stories from my roots in the corn and bean fields of Iowa to leaving safety for adventure and all that encompasses living fully.
